CONFERENCE: AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SYSTEMS, CLIMATE CHANGE AND NUTRITION IN CIS COUNTRIES

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), the Eurasian Center for Food Security, the World Bank and two IFPRI-led CGIAR Research Programs - Agriculture for Nutrition and Health (A4NH) and Policies, Institutions, and Markets (PIM) - are organizing a conference on the linkages between climate change, agriculture, food systems, social safety nets, and nutrition. Held at the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia on February 11 the conference will bring together various stakeholders from the research, government, and donor communities to share knowledge, discuss ongoing research efforts, and identify needs and opportunities for the future research in the region. The objective of the event featuring Global Nutrition Report 2015 is to help raise awareness about the importance of nutrition and to make development in the region more nutrition sensitive. The event is being held with financial support from the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
