ENHANCING RESILIENCE IN AFRICAN DRYLANDS

On May 15 this year, more than 800 experts and practitioners from food, nutrition, health, agriculture, humanitarian, and related development sectors met in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a three-day conference, “Building Resilience for Food and Nutrition Security,” organized by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) with support from many partners, including PIM. 

PIM Director Karen Brooks facilitated one of the side events of the conference,"Enhancing Resilience in African Drylands: Toward a Shared Development Agenda", organized by World BankFood and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).

Presenters included Raffaello Cervigni, Lead Environmental Economist, World Bank, USAMohamed ManssouriSenior Advisor, FAO, Italy, and Stephen Danyo, Senior Natural Resources Management Specialist, World Bank, USA.
