Kyrgyzstan Spatial – a new interactive atlas promoting food security and development

KYRGYZSTAN SPATIAL – A NEW INTERACTIVE ATLAS PROMOTING FOOD SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT

Last week the University of Central Asia’s Institute of Public Policy and Administration and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) launched a new online platform and mapping tool Kyrgyzstan Spatial designed to help policymakers target areas of the country most vulnerable to food insecurity. The platform is based on technology developed for Arab Spatial, an IFPRI-led initiative, supported by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the CGIAR Research Program on Policies, Institutions, and Markets (PIM) that provides agricultural data from Middle Eastern countries.
