The next Inter-Conference Symposium of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE) will take place on October 17-20, 2017 in Chile. It will be dedicated to Agricultural Productivity, Climate Change, and Sustainable Resource Management. The aim of the event is to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, discussion, and networking focusing on climate change and sustainability, productivity and resource management, and related topics.

The Organizing Committee invites all interested authors to submit papers for the conference.

Contributions in the following topics are welcome:

  • Climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies
  • Technology adoption, climate change and resource management
  • Sustainable land and water management
  • Farm productivity and irrigation
  • Natural resource management and agricultural sustainability
  • Agricultural trade patterns and climate change
  • Farm size and productivity
  • Economic growth, farm labor supply and productivity
  • Climate change and food security along the value chain
  • Policy options to stimulate sustainable agricultural production
  • Environmentally related policies and natural resource sustainability

IMPORTANT DATES & DEADLINES

  • May 1, 2017:
    Deadline for submission of full papers
  • July 1, 2017:
    Announcement of accepted presentations
  • August 15, 2017:
    Final registration and fee payment for all authors presenting papers
  • September 1, 2017:
    Final registration and fee payment for all participants

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

Contributed papers, in English or Spanish, should be 10 pages maximum including Tables and Figures; References do not count in the 10-page limit. Papers should be double space, use Times New Roman Font 12 with one inch margins all around. The papers should provide a background section, a clear explanation of the core research question(s), data and methods used, results, and conclusions.
