PIM pre-conference workshop on rural transformation at the International Conference of Agricultural Economists 2018: Call for papers
PIM will organize a pre-conference symposium "Rural Transformation in the 21st Century: The Challenges of Low-Income, Late-Transforming Countries" as part of the next International Conference of Agricultural Economists. The symposium will be convened as the Second Annual Social Science Conference of CGIAR. Contributions are invited from CGIAR scientists, research partners, and IAAE members.

This webinar on October 25 will explore novel approaches to strengthening seed systems and markets, including policies related to varietal release procedures, quality assurance, access to early generation seed, input subsidy programs, among several others. It will draw on examples from a range of crops cultivated in countries as diverse as Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Zambia.
