Flagship 3 – Inclusive Value Chains and Efficient Trade: July – September 2019 updates

FLAGSHIP 3 – INCLUSIVE VALUE CHAINS AND EFFICIENT TRADE: JULY – SEPTEMBER 2019 UPDATES

Transforming agriculture in Africa and Asia: What are the policy options? - an IISD/IFPRI multi-year initiative supported by PIM and other donors, launched its September 2019 edition. In 2018, the research team, which is led by Cluster 3.1 leader David Labord on IFPRI side, completed the first attempt at mapping the agricultural transformation path of 117 countries over a 45-year period, looking to understand which policies worked and why. The September 2019 update takes a deep dive into a select group of countries that have either transformed their agricultural sectors or have the potential to do so.

Juliana Muriel published a blog (in Spanish), entitled “Marañón y Empoderamiento de Mujeres en el Golfo de Fonseca” (“Cashews and Female Empowerment in the Gulf of Fonseca”) covering PIM related work around women’s empowerment in cashew value chains in Honduras.
