On 9-10 July 2013, the Management Committee and Focal Points of the CGIAR Research Program on Policies, Institutions and Markets (PIM) will meet in Washington, DC, USA. Participants will share insights from research activities under PIM to date, identify core summary products of the first phase of work, and start planning the evolution of the program in the future.
Focal Points from all Centers participating in PIM (Bioversity, CIAT, CIMMYT, CIP, ICARDA, ICRAF, ICRISAT, IITA, ILRI, and WorldFish) are planning to attend. The agenda will include sessions on lessons learned, priority-setting, methods for assessing impact of the program, and strategic areas such as cross-cutting work on gender and value chains.
The agenda will include opening remarks by IFPRI’s Director General, Shenggen Fan and PIM Director, Karen Brooks. Anita Regmi, the new Senior Science Officer at the Consortium Office who will work closely with the PIM team, will also attend.
