PIM is supporting participation of social scientists from across CGIAR in the XVII Biennial IASC Conference, entitled ‘In Defense of the Commons: Challenges, Innovation, and Action’. The conference will be held at the Catholic University of Lima, Peru on July 1-5, 2019.
The conference will bring together experiences and lessons from around the world to reflect on the multiple ways in which different actors have sought to maintain and defend the commons, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced by the commons in the 21st century.
PIM colleagues from Bioversity International, Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), International Water Management Institute (IWMI), World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF), and other partner organizations working under Flagship 5: Governance of Natural Resources will be presenting in multiple sessions and participating in multi-stakeholder dialogues.
